Little Fang

Fabric 8, San Francisco | 2011 | Solo Exhibition

A series of paintings depicting a family tree of the Little Fang and their owners. A strange and mysterious creature whose origin is shrouded in mystery, The Little Fang choose their owners very carefully. These owners must feed them a steady diet of peacock feathers, non-fragrant flowers, and cotton balls. Small, rare, and precious, The Little Fang have been known to inhabit Earth for several centuries.

The Ritter Center : Art Houses of Marin

Marin County | 2010

Art Houses of Marin is a fundraising project that celebrates the arts and culture of Marin and its capacity and willingness to support an important cause. Eminent local artists will be chosen to design and decorate the scale model houses, creating exquisite works of art. The art houses were displayed in prominent locations throughout Marin County for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike. Each artfully created house were auctioned online and at a gala event later in the year with the proceeds benefiting the important work of Ritter Center.

Bio

Alice Koswara is a graphic designer and contemporary artist living in San Francisco with her husband Eric Phoneticontrol Broers and their two cats. She graduated from the Academy of Art University with a BFA in Graphic Design. She paints delicate ladies, animals and plant life. She draws inspiration from her collections of vintage ephemera, old movies, period fashion and vintage pinup girl posters. She works with acrylic, water color, pen, ink, gouache on wood, vintage paper, vintage maps and canvas. In 2010 she joined forces with her husband Phoneticontrol to form PHOKOS .
